I always saw Jacob at the gym, my gay heart doing somersaults every time, but I was too shy to say anything until one day, fueled by nervous energy, I blurted out a compliment about his form. He laughed, that gorgeous, sunshine-filled laugh, and then asked me out for coffee, proving that even the shyest members of the LGBT community can find love with a little courage.
