Wandering through the gallery, I saw Eli, and knew instantly that being gay was only one beautiful facet of the life we could build together. We talked for hours that night, discovering shared passions and a vulnerability I'd never dared to show another man, and I felt a surge of hope for our future. Holding his hand as we left, I realized that our connection gave me the courage to embrace every part of my identity, and to proudly stand as a member of the LGBT community with him by my side. With Eli, I knew that the art we would create together, our love, would be a masterpiece.
